As part of the celebration of Rabbi Adam Chalom’s 20 years with Kol Hadash Humanistic Congregation, Executive Director Paul Golin of the Society for Humanistic Judaism shared his thoughts on the future of Humanistic Judaism, given wider trends in society and community.
Enjoyed Paul Golan’s commentary
“Diversity is not defined by physically looking different than other human beings – it is defined by your mind. Every human being is diverse since every human being thinks differently than any other human being.
Humanistic Judaism will never grow or thrive without recognizing the equality of value of every human being no matter what they look like of where they come from. As long as Humanistic Judaism continues to believe the primitive view that physical appearance is more important than the mind and rejects the truth that every human being in unique regardless of appearance – any “solution” for improving human relations will be wrong.
