As members of a tradition that sees every person as having inherent worth and dignity, we respond with anguish and outrage at homophobic bullying and intolerance and their tragic results.
We hereby commit to ending homophobic bullying or harassment of any kind in our congregations, schools, organizations, and communities.
We pledge to speak out when we become aware of anyone being demeaned for their actual or perceived sexual orientation or gender identity.
We, the Society for Humanistic Judaism, encourage our communities and members to be proactive in doing whatever they can as individuals and communities to ensure that each and every person in our community is treated with dignity and respect.
