SHJ URGES SWIFT ACTION IN FREEING KIDNAPPED NIGERIAN SCHOOLGIRLS

May 6, 2014 – The horrific kidnapping of more than 200 Nigerian girls from their school dormitory by the militant group Boko Haram cannot be ignored by the international community. As humanists we are appalled by this attack on human rights in the name of religion. We welcome the US decision to offer assistance to Nigeria in locating and freeing the kidnapped girls.
