Folkshul is Philadelphia’s Secular Humanistic Jewish Community. We’ve been around for over 100 years and are the only remaining Folkshul in the country! We offer a pre-k program and formal classroom education for grades K-9 at which point students transition into our Assistant Leadership Program for 
grades 10-12. We have 100% retention of our teens who graduate from 9th grade into the Assistant Leadership Program!
Folkshul isn’t just a school, we’re also a thriving cradle to grave community with education and community for adults of all ages! Our Social Activism Committee holds regular Social Activism Actions, we bring theater and enrichment through our Arts & Culture Committee. We hold regular Mahjong games and a book club that’s meeting 4 times this year.
We celebrate Jewish Holidays and are open to have anyone join us for these celebrations – member or not!
